Optimization of High-Temperature Electrolysis System for Hydrogen Production Considering High-Temperature Degradation

Solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOECs) have great application prospects because of their excellent performance, but the long-term applications stacks are restricted by structural degradation under high-temperature conditions. Therefore, an SOEC model is developed and embedded in a process steam (HTSE) system to investigate influence stack at level. The sensitivity analysis optimization were carried out study factors hydrogen production efficiency search for optimal operating conditions improve mitigate degradation. results show that high temperature large current density can accelerate efficiency, while gradually becomes unfavorable late stage. low air-to-fuel feed ratio beneficial both rate efficiency. method inhibit effectively. Moreover, part has be sacrificed order obtain lower rate.
